Who we are
Our Story
The Roaming Bun started with a simple complaint: it's hard to get a properly good burger in a small Ontario city without driving somewhere else for it.
So we built the burger instead of the drive. Fresh beef, pressed thin and hard onto a hot flat top so the edges go lacy and brown. Potatoes cut by hand each morning and fried twice. A house sauce we've been arguing about since the first test batch. Nothing sits under a heat lamp — if you're waiting a few minutes, it's because it's being made.
These days you'll find the truck at 9701 Sunset Drive in St. Thomas, every day of the week. Festivals, markets and catering jobs still take us out across Elgin and Middlesex, from London down to the beach at Port Stanley. That's the whole idea — the bun roams, so you don't have to.

Where is The Roaming Bun parked?

What are your hours?
11:00 AM to 7:30 PM Sunday to Thursday, and 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays.
Is your food halal?
Yes. Everything on our menu is halal.
Can I order ahead?

Do you have vegetarian options?
The Garden Getaway burger and the Pit Stop Samosas are meat-free, and the fries don't share a fryer with the fish. We fry in shared oil and there is wheat, dairy, egg and sesame in the truck, so tell us about allergies at the window.
